Don't we all just love taco Tuesday, I mean it's kind of a thing now!
Well I'm back again, with a review oh...and a view now that I think of it!
Agua 301 is a Modern Mexican themed restaurant in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, DC. They offer outside seating with a view of the Anacostia River! How awesome is that? Not only do you get a great view, the price point is good and you don't have to break the bank.
Because I'm a mom, I love places that I can go to have a glass of wine or cocktail, but also have a kids menu and a way to entertain my kid. This restaurant totally nails it!
I made reservations for 3, myself, the husband and the kid for a Monday evening. We parked at the parking lot across the street for just a few bucks to avoid looking for street parking. When we arrived the hostess offered us the choice of sitting inside or outside, of course we set outside. It was perfect for the kid as he got to get up and play a bit.
The service was pretty good. It did take the waiter a bit long to bring the kids menu, but he provided really good service other than that. After taking our drink orders, he provided the table with chips and salsa. The kid and I enjoyed them but my husband didn't like the salsa.
For drinks- my husband had a beer anf I had the frozen peach sangria! Just get it, you won't be disappointed!
For dinner-
$6.95 kids meals! The kid ordered fish and chips! Wow! The fish was extremely fresh!
Chicken Huarache $12- pretty much a Mexican pizza made on a corn flatbread. My husband enjoyed it.
Baja fish taco $7- I mean, it is Taco Tuesday! Again, the fish was super fresh and you get two per order.
I can't wait to go back again, this time for Happy Hour. It's everyday 3:30-7 and 9pm until close. The menu looks pretty good with food and drinks between $4-$8.
